The second crossroads you will come to in Tarya Gratar’s trial only has two exits. There are two waves made up of mostly lower level beasts with a few minibosses scattered around. This skirmish area pits you against the same types of beasts you fight in the Proving Grounds, but doesn’t contain the massive boss level monsters of this location. They also have powerful sniper rifles and can use the crows for a line attack. There are also several mini-bosses that can teleport by transforming into a conspiracy of crows. The remaining 10 enemies are minibosses, ranging from slow gunners to captains using various energy abilities. A few dozen are enemy tankers who deploy shields or use heavier weapons. Most are mobs of trash: standard riflemen and snipers or rushing melee men. There are dozens of Feral enemies in this skirmish, all of whom use firearms. Completing this encounter unlocks a golden chest with a good chance of rewarding boots, but like all sources of loot in the dungeon, you are not guaranteed boots. The last two doors, on the far right and far left of the spawn area, release two boss level beasts and additional hordes. Complete all three waves to activate the two closest gates on either side, which release additional beasts and minibosses. When you start the endgame activity, the door directly in front of you opens, releasing hordes of beasts. The proving grounds are a circular arena with five gates surrounding the center point and the entrance to the arena. There are hundreds of enemies across the various waves, increasing in number and difficulty as you progress. This is especially true if you’re going up against Tarya Gratar solo. Additionally, builds should be outstanding and add clearly for all skirmishes. There will be a larger loot chest at the end with a higher probability of specific loot types. Treasures: Larger scale battle arenas with additional enemies and bosses. There will be a minor loot chest at the end. Skirmishes: Fight in arenas with different types of enemies in one or more waves. The last of these will have a crafting table but no additional amenities besides ammo resupply. Before we go any further, it should be noted that Tarya Gratar consists of three types of rooms: Crossroads: safe rooms with no enemies or challenges connecting combat arenas. The nearest exit on the left takes you into a skirmish area called Temple of the Anomaly, and the far right leads to another skirmish area called the Mausoleum. The right exit takes you to the first available Trove, the Proving Grounds. There are three possible exits, two to your left and one to your right. Begin the activity by placing your hand on the pedestal to enter the first crossroads, a location called Warlords Concourse.
Your apocalypse level will likely be in the early to mid-teens unless you do an extra expedition grind before or have already been thrust into the endgame after the expansion.
You gain access to Tarya Gratar’s trial after completing the Worldslayer campaign, which should only take a few hours.
